Moroccan Police Seize Over a Ton of Cannabis Smuggled on Camel Caravan

It is not known whether they were chosen for their endurance or their (in)discretion, but in any case, more than a ton of drugs was seized this Friday on the backs of dromedaries.
This police operation took place in the region of M’hamid El Ghizlane (province of Zagora), according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release, which states that it was made possible thanks to precise information obtained by the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance.
Thus, on Friday morning, ten dromedaries were intercepted in the "Chkaka" area by the police services while they were transporting more than a ton of cannabis resin (chira), the DGSN reported.
No details were given about the arrest or not of traffickers but still according to the DGSN, the investigation continues to identify the persons involved in this traffic and to determine the probable links with the international drug trafficking networks.
