According to a press release from the General Directorate of National Security, the arrest of the 3 men follows a complaint filed by 3 victims. They had to pay 15,000 dirhams each in exchange for the promise to smuggle them into Europe.
An operation carried out in a warehouse in Hay Al Azhar allowed the seizure of 7 jet skis, 7 inflatable boats and 5 boats, continues the press release. About ten outboard motors and shotgun cartridges were also found.
The accused were placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, in order to determine the contours of the case and the ramifications of the illegal immigration network.
