Moroccan Police Arrest Four Suspects in Casablanca Murder of Senegalese Man
The Moroccan police have arrested almost all the suspects involved in the murder of the Senegalese, Mouhamed Thiam, in Casablanca.
The murder of Mouhamed Thiam in Casablanca will not go unpunished. Proof of this, the police are working to arrest all the people involved in this murder. In total, four individuals have already been arrested, including the alleged murderer.
In an interview with the Senegalese radio station RFM, Sory Kaba said that the Moroccan police were doing their best to arrest the other members involved in the murder. According to him, the Senegalese had been murdered by "a drunk".
Sory Kaba also condemned this odious act with the same vigor as his compatriots residing in Casablanca and other cities in Morocco. However, he asked them to remain calm while the police investigate the murder. The Senegalese community had indeed planned to march to the crime scene but the Moroccan police had curbed their momentum.
"According to our discussions with the Senegalese Consulate in Casablanca and the local Police Commissioner, the case has been well handled. We just ask our compatriots to remain calm. Marches are not the solution in a foreign country. Everything that needs to be done on this case will be done," reassured Sory Kaba.
Mohamed Thiam, 29, was stabbed to death in a popular neighborhood, Rahma, as he was returning home in Casablanca on Friday, September 13.
