Moroccan Player Benched After Forgetting Jersey in Locker Room

Younes Taha, a Moroccan player from PEC Zwolle, missed the opportunity to play in the match against De Graafschap (second division of the Netherlands) due to an uncommon mistake. The team won the victory 1-0, but Taha was not included in the second half because of a regrettable oversight.
PEC Zwolle coach Dick Schreuder explained that Taha had left his jersey in the locker room, which had led to the decision not to play him. Schreuder said he had briefly spoken with Taha and that he had acknowledged his mistake, but that he remained a professional player.
PEC Zwolle won the victory thanks to a goal from Lennart Thy in the first half, but had difficulties in the second half against De Graafschap. However, the coach said he was satisfied with his team’s performance and hoped that Taha would be back for the next match against NAC Breda, scheduled for this Friday.
