Moroccan PJD Adviser Arrested at Border for Alleged Passport Forgery

After leaving Morocco, Nour-eddine Tabane, adviser to the PJD in the rural commune of Aït Mimoune de Khmisset, was arrested on February 19 by the police at the Beni Ansar border post. He is being prosecuted for forgery and use of forgery.
Things got complicated for Nour-eddine Tabane during the usual border formalities. The authorities found that the PJD adviser’s passport to the rural commune of Aït Mimoune de Khmisset bore a forged stamp dated January 5, 2020 as the date of entry into Morocco, reports Barlamane. However, the official date of his last exit from the kingdom is June 21, 2016, indicates the same source.
Explaining himself, Nour-eddine Tabane said he had joined Melilla after leaving Morocco on June 21, 2016. After spending three days in the Spanish enclave, he says he returned to the kingdom through the same border post, without having completed the usual formalities.
Subsequently, he admits having asked the services of a forger named, from Oujda, who falsified the exit date for him for 1,800 dirhams. According to his explanations, he was forced to resort to this kind of service. He had to go to Spain on February 19, 2020 to fulfill his responsibilities as coach of a 3rd division football team, in Khémisset.
After his arrest, Nour-eddine Tabane was brought before the courts on February 21.
