Moroccan Pilots Form New Association in France After Dissolution of AMPL

On the ruins of the dissolved Moroccan Association of Airline Pilots, a group of Moroccan pilots has decided to create a representative entity based in France called MALPA (Moroccan AirLine Pilots Association).
This is a new representative body based on new foundations, in order to restore trust and dialogue with Royal Air Maroc (RAM), according to an official statement from the association.
According to the same source, MALPA is an apolitical professional association whose purpose is to:
• Defend the rights and interests of its members;
• Represent the member pilots to international organizations sharing the same interests and vocations, namely the International Labor Organization (ILO), the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF), the European Cockpit Association (ECA) and the International Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations (IFALPA).
• Take legal action on behalf of its members to defend their interests and guarantee their rights.
The MALPA Board hopes, it is said, to work together with the AMPL Board in order to restore this association to its rightful place in the Moroccan aeronautical landscape in full legitimacy, and thus preserve the right to associative action in our country.
Furthermore, MALPA intends to do everything in its power to enlighten public opinion on the situation of pilots who were victims of dismissal in 2020.
