Moroccan Pilgrims in Mecca Face New Route Home via UAE, Government Says

Moroccans currently blocked in Saudi Arabia will have to go through the United Arab Emirates to reach the kingdom.
This is what the government indicated, in response to the repatriation request of some 3,000 pilgrims still blocked in Mecca, reports the MAP, citing government spokesman Mustapha Baitas.
According to the official, "the government has done its best by putting in place a repatriation system and extending the date reserved for this purpose".
Baitas also recalled that "these decisions mainly depend on the pandemic situation inside and outside Morocco", specifying that "after the extension of the deadline for repatriation flights, those who want to return will be able to do so easily".
