Moroccan Opposition Party Accused of Spying on Government Officials

Activists of the Party of Justice and Development (PJD) would have installed hidden surveillance cameras in 40 administrative annexes under the Ministry of the Interior. A spying operation exposed.
Hidden cameras, installed by PJD activists, have been discovered in 40 annexes under the Ministry of the Interior, reports Assabah. The same source indicates that these cameras are used to spy on caids, pashas and other local authorities and are in no way controlled by the services of the Ministry of the Interior.
According to some indiscretions, the city council of Marrakech had launched a call for tenders for the acquisition and installation of the cameras. Yet it is public knowledge, says the same source, that this council is under the influence of the PJD. In other words, these cameras were installed with the aim of spying on cadres or authorities belonging to other political parties.
