Moroccan Opposition Leader: Israel-Hamas War Could Be ’Civilizational Conflict’ Against Arabs and Muslims
The Secretary General of the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS), Nabil Benabdallah, spoke out on the Israel-Hamas war, saying it could be a civilizational war instigated by the West against Arabs and Muslims.
In his speech at a demonstration in solidarity with the Palestinian people, held on Sunday at the Mohammed V Theater in Rabat, Benabdallah said that the United States has lost credibility and that their support for Israel is shameful and contrary to the universal values they claim to uphold.
The PPS Secretary General added that "the occupying state considers itself above all the rules", stressing that its actions, such as the theft of the bodies of martyrs to establish mass graves, are similar to the crimes of fascism and Nazism.
Benabdallah also denounced Israel’s maneuvers to distort the truth, and the bad role of the media that strive to support the false, including the myth of "self-defense". According to him, the objective of the occupying state is to force the Palestinian people to move to other cities like Jerusalem or the West Bank, showing its clear intention to erase Gaza from the world map.
