Moroccan Official Poised to Replace CAF Secretary General Amid Leadership Shakeup

Perhaps in the near future, CAF will have a Moroccan secretary general, in the person of Mouad Hajji. The current secretary general risks being fired amid general tension within this African football body.
Mouad Hajji, a Moroccan, could well become the next Secretary General of the Confederation of African Football, according to some media sources. The current Secretary General, Amr Famhy, would be threatened with dismissal.
Le360 writes on this subject: "A meeting of the CAF Executive Committee will be held early next week to decide the fate of Secretary General Amr Fahmy, who is threatened with dismissal. The Moroccan Mouad Hajji could take his place."
The reason for this Sword of Damocles hanging over Amr Fahmy, an Egyptian, is that he is accused of being the instigator of a leak of confidential documents. He has held this position of SG since November 2017.
Note that even if the latter is fired, nothing proves that Mouad Hajji will succeed him. But Egyptian media, relying on sources within the African Confederation, tend to cite him as a successor. It should be noted that Mouad Hajji is currently general coordinator within the African body.
It should be recalled that for a few weeks, many accusations have been made against CAF and its president Ahmad Ahmad. And there is talk of corruption and embezzlement.
