Moroccan Officer Praised for Ticketing Own Son in Traffic Stop
On Facebook, a police officer has attracted the sympathy of Moroccan internet users after fining his own son in Essaouira.
While he was on a motorcycle with a friend, a young Moroccan was stopped in Essaouira by a police officer for not wearing a helmet. He calls his colleague and asks him to write the ticket. When he arrives on the scene, the police officer discovers that the offender was none other than his son. His hand does not tremble. He fines his son. A behavior hailed and appreciated by Moroccan internet users.
On Facebook, many activists have shared an image of the traffic ticket written by the police officer against his own son. They expressed their gratitude for the application of the law and the fulfillment of his professional duty, far from the logic of "pull strings" or family favoritism.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Transport and Logistics should submit a draft amendment to the Highway Code to the General Secretariat of the Government, for approval by the Council of Ministers. A set of offenses, the most important of which concern the use of electric scooters, after their regulation and the definition of their dimensions and technical characteristics, and a revision of several offenses, in particular those relating to the confiscation of vehicles, by proposing to replace this measure with fines are recorded in this project.
