The famous Moroccan singer and actor, Mohamed Bechar, widely known as Zeroual, died on Tuesday at the age of 80, after a long illness.
Another legend of popular song is leaving us, two years after the disappearance of his cousin, Ali Bechar, with whom he had formed the legendary musical duo "Kechbal o Zeroual" in the 1970s and 1980s.
In a tribute post to Zeroual, Moroccan actor Mohamed Choubi wrote: "May God have the deceased in His Holy mercy".
Kechbal and Zeroual, who used the loutar and the pandeiro, addressed several social themes in their songs, in a comical and very original musical style. The duo was very popular with the Moroccan public.
