Moroccan Music Icon Mohammed Louz Dies at 60 After Cancer Battle

The iconic and popular artist, Mohammed Louz, one of the founders of the Tagada Group, died at the age of 60 on Wednesday, October 23, after a long illness.
It’s no secret that in addition to being diabetic, Mohamed Louz, one of the founders of the popular group Tagada, suffered from pancreatic cancer, which completely devastated him, according to Le360, which read the impressions of Messouad Bouhssine, President of the National Union of Performing Arts Professionals on his official Facebook account.
It is therefore with his weapons in hand, after having fought a hard battle against the disease for years, that the artist fell on October 23 at the age of 60.
According to the website, Mohammed Louz was an influential and highly respected member of the Tagada Group, created in 1972 by Omar Dakhouchi, El Afli Mohammed, Mustapha Mounafier, Khalid Fdeli and Ahmed Roudani. He had enjoyed international success for many years.
The artist will continue to live through the rich repertoire drawn from Moroccan folklore that he has left behind and which made him a much-loved artist by his audience.
