Moroccan MMA Fighter Critically Ill in Bangkok After Food Poisoning

Aimad Hadiqa, a Moroccan MMA fighter, suffering from meningoencephalitis following a food poisoning, is in critical condition at a hospital in Bangkok. His family and loved ones have launched a crowdfunding campaign to cover his medical expenses.
Lack of hygiene is a major problem in many sports halls in Thailand, according to medical experts who say that several foreign kickboxers and MMA fighters have been admitted to health centers in the country following food poisoning, skin infections or dengue fever.
The case of the Moroccan fighter Aimad Hadiqa is therefore not isolated. To cover his medical expenses, which amount to more than 8,000 euros, his family and loved ones have launched a crowdfunding campaign. They hope the MMA fighter will recover quickly.
