Moroccan Migrants in Ceuta Protest Repatriation, Seek Transfer to Spanish Mainland

The repatriation operation in Ceuta is not making everyone happy. A dozen Moroccans, blocked for 6 months, refuse to add their names to the list submitted by the authorities of the Spanish enclave.
Waving the Spanish flag, a group of young Moroccans demonstrated near Tarajal where shelters had been set up to accommodate the hundreds of people blocked.
Refusing to be repatriated to Morocco, where, they lament, their social situation is difficult, the Moroccans have asked to be transferred to the peninsula.
This is a real dilemma for the city’s officials, report local media, who recall that the local government is already having a hard time managing the situation of hundreds of Moroccan minors wandering the streets of Ceuta.
