Moroccan Man Suspected in Gruesome Murder of Wife and Children in Spain

The Civil Guard found the remains of the bodies of a woman of Moroccan origin and her two minor children in a house in Las Pedroñeras in Cuenca, in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha, on Saturday.
The woman and her two minor children had been reported missing since Friday. Their dismembered bodies were found on Saturday by the Civil Guard after they were alerted by the woman’s colleagues about her absence from work.
The analysis of the remains of the bodies found in a neighboring house to the victims’ home has confirmed their identity, reports La Gaceta. The woman worked at the town hall of Las Pedroñeras (Cuenca) and had repeatedly reported the ill-treatment she suffered from her husband, also of Moroccan origin.
Aged around 44, the latter, who had also been the subject of a restraining order for gender-based violence, was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of the murder of his wife and his two children aged around five and seven years old. This tragedy has shocked the town of Las Pedroñeras (Cuenca).
