Moroccan Man Dies in Spanish House Fire; Family Hospitalized

A Moroccan lost his life on Saturday in a fire that broke out in his home, on Rua d’Os Entrecines, in the municipality of As Neves in Spain. His wife and their two children, injured, were taken to the hospital for care.
The Civil Guard was alerted on Saturday of a fire that broke out on this street. It quickly mobilized four patrols that went to the scene. The Moroccan, trapped inside the burning building, died on the spot despite the efforts of the health workers to revive him.

His wife and their two children were able to be saved. They were then taken to a hospital in Vigo, reports La Voz de Galicia. One of the Civil Guard agents who participated in the operation was also taken to the hospital after inhaling smoke.
The victim and his family had moved to the city only a year ago and quickly integrated into the community. They enrolled their children in the city’s school, the mayor, Xosé Manuel Rodríguez, said.
