Moroccan Man Critically Injured Fleeing Police in Spanish Town

A Moroccan was seriously injured in Vélez-Málaga (Málaga), in southern Spain, after a fall of 8 meters while trying to flee a police check.
The agents were called for an intervention in one of the town’s squares after complaints from many residents about noise disturbances. On their arrival, two people fled, Diario Sur reported. It was then that they heard a noise.
The victim, of Moroccan origin and about forty years old, was lying on the ground, bleeding from the nose, ears and mouth. He would have jumped from a wall about eight meters high. The agents called the emergency services, who quickly arrived on the scene to transport the Moroccan to the regional hospital in Malaga where he was admitted in critical condition.
The police suspect he had drugs in his possession, which is why he tried to flee when the agents arrived. An investigation has been opened to clarify the matter.
