Moroccan Man Arrested in Spain for Domestic Violence Against Wife and Daughters

Spanish National Police agents arrested in Alzira (Valencia region) a 49-year-old man of Moroccan origin, accused of assault, attempted assault and mistreatment against his two daughters and their mother.
The agents were alerted that a minor had been assaulted by her father. Upon arrival, they found that the minor had indeed suffered physical violence a few moments earlier from her father, who then headed to the family home to also assault his wife and the girl’s mother.

The police rushed to catch up with him. Once on the scene, they caught the Moroccan man in the act of beating and injuring his wife, whom he was trying to strangle. The agents quickly managed to subdue him and free the victim. The accused actually wanted to assault his second daughter, when the mother intervened.
The Moroccan is being prosecuted as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of mistreatment of family members. He has been detained, pending trial.
