Moroccan Man Arrested for Attempted Burning of Homeless Woman in Spain

The Civil Guard of the Murcia region has arrested a Moroccan for setting fire to a homeless woman’s sleeping bag. Considered a dangerous and violent criminal, he is accused of a "crime of injury".
It would all have started from a disagreement between the accused and the victim, both presumed drug traffickers. The woman was lying in her sleeping bag in a building in Alguazas (Murcia), when the defendant set it on fire with a lighter before fleeing. The victim, who escaped with burns to her abdomen, legs and hands, was rushed to the hospital for proper care, reports Huffpost.
The Civil Guard opened an investigation to identify, locate and arrest the suspect who would be a dangerous criminal active in the municipality of Alguazas. Investigators learned that the accused had taken refuge in Ceuta. After a few days, they managed to arrest him, despite his change of appearance. He had let his beard grow and partially shaved his head.
35 years old and of Moroccan origin, the accused has a well-filled criminal record. After his arrest as the alleged perpetrator of the crime of injury, he was brought before the investigating court of Molina de Segura (Murcia).
