Moroccan Lawmaker Urges Legal Action Against Algerian Commentator for Insults

The insults of the Algerian sports commentator, Hafid Derraji, have elicited a reaction from PAM deputy Hanane Aterkine, who has called on the government to initiate legal proceedings against him.
The parliamentarian considers that "this attack on the dignity and honor of Moroccans (women and men) requires a position from the government which must initiate legal proceedings with the country where the Algerian journalist resides so that justice is done", reports Al Ahdath Al Maghribia.
In an oral question to the Minister of Communication, Mehdi Bensaid, the PAM parliamentary group questioned the measures the government intends to take to preserve the dignity of Moroccan women against such attacks, adding that recourse to justice is essential in order to rehabilitate all Moroccan women and to avoid the multiplication of these unacceptable behaviors.
For the record, the Algerian journalist from beIN sport, known for his hostility towards Morocco, had posted a tweet in which he had uttered vile insults towards Moroccan women. Faced with the retaliation of Internet users and the press, he denied being the author of these insults, claiming that his Twitter account had been hacked, the newspaper points out.
