Moroccan Lawmaker Faces Disciplinary Action Over World Cup Ticket Scandal

Suspected of being involved in the illegal sale of match tickets at the World Cup in Qatar, the RNI MP from Safi, Mohamed El Hidaoui, has been summoned before the Regional Disciplinary Commission of his party.
The decision comes from the national office of the party, indicates a statement from the leadership, specifying that it is based on an audio recording, which has gone viral on social media and attributed to the deputy regarding the sale of two tickets for the match at a price of 6,000 dirhams each.
On the audio, we can hear Mohamed El Hidaoui, also president of the OCS, a club playing in Botola, called by name. He was talking about buying two tickets to be able to attend the Morocco-France semi-final match, for an amount of 12,000 dirhams.
Reacting to the controversy, the National Office decided to take urgent disciplinary action. "This behavior, if proven, tarnishes the beautiful image of our national team," it said, announcing the referral to the party body.
