Moroccan King Mourns Passing of Beloved Actress Amina Rachid at 83

A message of condolence was sent by King Mohammed VI to the family of the artist Jamila Benomar. The actress, better known to the public as Amina Rachid, died on Monday, August 26, 2019, at the age of 83.
In this message, the Sovereign expresses to the members of the deceased’s family and through them to all of her loved ones, his heartfelt condolences and sincere feelings of compassion, imploring the Almighty to grant them patience and comfort.
Mohammed VI recalled the human and professional qualities of the deceased, whose name will remain engraved in the memory of Moroccans.
Amina Rachid was one of the headliners of Moroccan theater, cinema and television. The King did not fail to specify that the late "was known for her patriotism, her loyalty and her attachment to the Alaouite throne".
The King also said he shares the feelings of the deceased’s family, "imploring the Almighty to amply reward the late for her commendable actions and her efforts in the service of art and her homeland".
