Moroccan King Honors Late Music Pioneer Fathallah Lamghari

Following the death on September 3 of artist Fathallah Lamghari at the age of 82, King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences and compassion to his family members.
In his message, the king states that he learned with deep sadness and great emotion the news of the death of the artist Fathallah Lamghari, and prays to God to surround him with His infinite mercy.
For the sovereign, Fathallah Lamghari was one of the pioneers of Moroccan song, who greatly contributed to the promotion of music by composing for decades eternal songs, so appreciated by lovers of authentic Moroccan music. King Mohammed VI emphasizes in his message that the late Fathallah Lamghari enriched the national artistic heritage with exceptional masterpieces imbued with authenticity and sincere patriotism.
These are the reasons why the king says he shares the feelings of the deceased’s family following this cruel, invaluable loss, recalling, with esteem, the human qualities of the late, his patriotism and his unwavering attachment to the constants and sanctities of the Nation, values that are reflected in the lyrics of the patriotic, unifying and eternal song Nidaa El Hassan that he wrote.
