Moroccan King and Royal Family Targeted by Pegasus Spyware, Investigation Reveals

King Mohammed VI and members of the royal family would have been selected as targets by a user of the Israeli Pegasus software. This is what the investigation conducted by the international consortium created by Forbidden Stories reveals.
The revelations continue about the Pegasus software. Radio France, a partner of the international consortium formed by Forbidden Stories, reports that King Mohammed VI and his entourage are also targets of the Pegasus spyware. In addition to the sovereign’s number, the phones of Princess Lalla Salma, one of her cousins, Prince Moulay Hicham, would have been wiretapped.
Until now, Morocco is accused of having targeted 10,000 numbers (out of 50,000), mainly Moroccan, Algerian and French, after the publication of the investigation by Forbidden Stories and its partners, including the newspaper Le Monde. Two French media, Mediapart and Le Canard enchaîné, have filed a complaint, and the Paris prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into the spying of French journalists. Moroccan intelligence services are also accused of having selected the numbers of French President Emmanuel Macron and some French ministers. For its part, Morocco has rejected these accusations.
