Moroccan Kickboxing Star Badr Hari Faces Legal Battle with Enfusion in Belgian Court

Moroccan champion Badr Hari is not done with the justice system. He is currently on trial with the sports event organization company "Enfusion". It is the court in Ghent, Belgium, that is called upon to rule on this dispute.
"The case is now before the Belgian business judge," said Enfusion’s lawyer. It stems from a disagreement that arose between Badr Hari and this martial arts organization, regarding the athlete’s dual contract. The two parties have already spoken out on the matter and next November, the Belgian judge will rule to determine the responsibility of each, reports the Dutch media.
Badr Hari has been prosecuted since December 2017, just after signing a contract with the largest and most prestigious "kickboxing" organization, Glory. Immediately afterwards, "Enfusion" denounced the agreement, claiming that Hari was bound by a contract for a fight that was to take place in Antwerp, hence the choice of Ghent as the court.
At the time of the events, Hari’s lawyer, Jacques de Wit, indicated that a first condition of reimbursement was not met and that the contract had been terminated, the two parties having been unable to agree on certain clauses. The Ghent judge will render his decision next November.
For now, the amount demanded by "Enfusion" is unknown, but it would reach several million euros. Meanwhile, Hari has had two major fights for Glory; one against Hesdy Gerges and the other against Rico Verhoeven.
