Moroccan Insurers Extend Auto Policy Renewals Amid COVID-19 Lockdown

Insurers are joining the national solidarity observed in Morocco due to the lockdown imposed to fight the coronavirus. They have decided to facilitate the renewal formalities for their automobile insurance customers.
The FMSAR, after consultation with the ACAPS, allows policyholders whose insurance policies expire from March 20, 2020, to renew them until April 30 with their usual intermediaries. In a press release, it stressed that "the insured will receive their insurance certificate as if they had renewed it and will pay the premium for the entire period considered".
With this decision, insurers are contributing to the fight against the spread of the virus by avoiding the influx of clients to intermediaries. The Federation recommends that the customers concerned take advantage of this period until April 30, 2020 to normally renew their automobile insurance policies with their usual intermediaries.
