Moroccan Icon Samira Saïd Graces Vogue Arabia Cover, Teases New Darija Song

Celebrated singer in the Arab world, the Moroccan Samira Saïd is the headliner of the latest issue of Vogue Arabia. After an eight-year hiatus, she is preparing to release a new song in darija.
Samira Saïd appears on the cover of the latest issue of Vogue Arabia. The Moroccan star gave an interview to the American magazine, which the editor-in-chief, Manuel Arnaut, is delighted about. "Visiting Samira Saïd, at her home in Cairo, and discussing all night over Moroccan tea on a beautiful Ramadan night was a treat, and I loved hearing that after an eight-year hiatus, the artist is about to launch a new song in Moroccan Arabic, after Eid," he wrote on the publication’s Instagram account.
In this interview, the Moroccan singer expressed her love for her country: "Morocco is my homeland, my love, and I hope I have done something that will make you proud of me and my career as a Moroccan woman, who has also succeeded abroad." The performer of "Allah Yesahillak" also talked about her career: "Throughout my career, I’ve tried to follow the different generations and present everything that’s new and appealing to the public. That’s the secret of my perseverance to this day."
