Moroccan Hydrogen SUV Sparks Debate Over Origin and Design

In the eyes of some Algerian media, NamX Huv, a car model from the first Moroccan manufacturer and a prototype of a hydrogen vehicle, presented to King Mohammed VI on May 15, 2023, would not be 100% Moroccan.
Le Soir d’Algérie picked up an article published by the specialized magazine "L’Automobile Magazine" to question the Moroccanness of the NamX Huv. "The NamX (EDITOR’S NOTE: presented to the King of Morocco as 100% Moroccan) is a premium SUV coupe designed in France and designed by Italians. NamX, a young French brand, intends to revolutionize the hydrogen car with removable tanks. The design was entrusted to the Italian firm Pininfarina, which is also working on battery-electric cars," it claims to know.
The same media also picked up an article published on Wikipedia to, it says, deny the information that the NamX Huv is 100% Moroccan. "The NAMX HUV was presented on May 11, 2022 in Italy. It is the result of four years of development and collaboration between the Italian coachbuilder Pininfarina and the new French automotive manufacturer NamX (for New Automotive and Mobility Exploration). It was presented to the public at the 2022 Paris Motor Show," we read on Wikipedia. For Le Soir d’Algérie, the vehicle would therefore be Franco-Italian and not Moroccan.
The Franco-Moroccan Faouzi Annajah, son of a Moroccan worker who worked for more than 35 years at the Renault manufacturer, is the designer of the NamX Huv.
