The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested in Martorell (Barcelona) a 46-year-old man actively wanted by Morocco for human trafficking. He is accused of having illegally brought many people into Spain in 2017.
The Moroccan authorities, who had issued an international arrest warrant against the accused, had reported that he could be in Catalonia. The Mossos finally arrested him on October 7 in Martorell (Barcelona) where he had taken refuge, reports 20minutos.
The judge ordered his detention, pending extradition. The migrants would have each paid the accused 10,000 dirhams (946 euros) for this boat trip to Spain in 2017.
