Moroccan TV Host Welcomes Israel Ties in Heartfelt Hebrew Message

"I deeply feel your emotion and [great enthusiasm] for the restoration of relations between Morocco and Israel," wrote Ghizlane Taibi, as Morocco is opening a new era in its relations with Israel.

"I know how much you revere Morocco and its monarchy, I know that you are neither barbarians nor assassins, nor child killers nor racists. I know that these sad clichés that a certain ideology is striving to spread with the complicity of the media are unfounded," she affirmed.

For the journalist, who regrets that Israelis are estranged from their origin, the joy of the reunion can only be greater, and is akin to that of "the child who has suffered so much from his parents’ divorce and who sees them finally reconcile after years of enmity and adversity."

However, adds the native of Casablanca, "the joy will not be complete without peace between you and the wonderful Palestinian people whom I ask you with all my heart to make the effort to understand."
