Moroccan Health Ministry Confirms Safety of Popular Sidi Hrazem Mineral Water

The "Sidi Hrazem" water is not harmful, the Ministry of Health has just affirmed. This clarification from the authorities comes after several press articles on a possible contamination of this mineral water highly prized by Moroccans.
The press release stresses that the information circulated by certain media "concerning the non-compliance of the "Sidi Hrazem" water with the standards in force is related to facts dating back more than ten months". The central and regional services of the ministry have on several occasions carried out control operations to verify whether the company marketing the "Sidi Hrazem" mineral water has put in place "the agreed health safety provisions after the outbreak of the case of bacterial contamination of the water in question".
The latest inspection mission took place last January, and the negative results of the bacteriological analyzes carried out by the laboratory of the Ministry of Health prove that "everything is now under control". Just after this inspection, "the company was authorized to reactivate its bottling lines and resume normal distribution of its products," the same source said.
