Moroccan Government Condemns Rapper’s Cannabis Comments at Public Concert

The government is reacting to the controversy sparked by the comments of rapper El Grande Toto on the legalization of cannabis. The issue was even raised during the government press briefing.
For Mustapha Baitas, the government categorically refuses the singer’s remarks that are detrimental to public morals. This is unacceptable behavior, stating that he has discussed it with the Minister of Culture and supporting that "this discourse cannot be accepted in a public space and at an event attended by many Moroccan families".
This controversy arose during the concert given by the rapper in Rabat, where he spoke about his relationship with cannabis. "I smoke cannabis, and so what? I get it easily. It’s known in the world and we’re famous for our weed. We have to stop asking questions like that," the singer had declared, who does not hesitate to display cannabis in photos published on Instagram.
