Moroccan Fuel Prices Plummet Amid Global Oil Crash and Coronavirus Pandemic

The drop in fuel prices continues in Morocco. Since the start of the coronavirus epidemic, pump prices have shown an average drop of 2 dirhams at Moroccan service stations.
Thus, pump prices will see a drop of one dirham for the reference fuels in the Kingdom this Wednesday, April 1st. Thus, the liter of diesel should approach the 7 dirham mark, while the price of unleaded gasoline will be around 8 dirhams.
In less than two weeks, Moroccans have been able to benefit from a, albeit temporary, saving of 1.7 dirhams on the price of diesel and 2.8 dirhams on unleaded gasoline.
The coronavirus pandemic, at the origin of the plunge in international oil prices, would have induced a sharp drop in demand, due to the containment measures in force everywhere in the world.
