Moroccan Fuel Prices Drop Below 14 Dirhams, Bringing Relief at the Pump

A pleasant surprise at the pump. The retail prices of the various fuels in Morocco fell on Friday, finally dropping below the symbolic 14 DH per liter mark.
This is the first time in many weeks that the trend has finally been downward, whether for diesel or gasoline. At the pump, the liter of diesel has dropped to 13.63 Dhs, a decrease of 67 cents, and that of gasoline to 13.93 Dhs, a decrease of 25 cents.
These new rates are displayed on the signs of several distributors such as Afriquia and Shell. On the other hand, Total has not yet, for the moment, changed its prices.
While for some this surge in fuel prices observed in Morocco for the past four months is caused by the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, others attribute this catastrophic situation to the government’s inability to manage the crisis.
