Moroccan Foreign Minister Accused of Breaching Algerian Airspace Ban

A Spanish MP claims that Nasser Bourita, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, crossed Algerian airspace to attend the African Union (AU)-European Union (EU) summit on October 25, even though Algeria had closed its airspace to all Moroccan aircraft on September 22.
"The Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs violated Algerian airspace on 25-10-2021 [...] He disguised himself on a Spanish Gestair company plane with the air navigation indicator GES641R, from Rabat to Kigali, on board a Dassault falcon 2000 XL registered in Spain as EC-MMR," denounced Carles Mulit Garcia, a Spanish senator, in a letter published on his Twitter account. According to him, the head of Moroccan diplomacy thus violated Algerian airspace.
On September 22, 2021, Algeria had closed its airspace to Moroccan civilian and military aircraft and those with a Moroccan registration number, against the backdrop of a diplomatic crisis with Morocco.
