Moroccan Footballer Yassine Salhi Battles COVID-19 After Match Exposure

Yassine Salhi is infected with the coronavirus. Since then, the Moroccan player has been fighting the disease, but sees no change in his condition.
The striker of Raja de Béni Mellal, Yassine Salhi, contracted Covid-19. His temperature rose to 39 degrees, then he started shivering. "The next day, I contacted the club doctor to express my doubts about the possibility of having contracted the virus. This was confirmed by the screening. It undermined my morale," confirms the player.
Yassine Salhi does not rule out the possibility of an infection following contact with another player during a Botola match. And since then, "I have temperature spikes, I have lost my sense of smell and taste of food," the Raja de Béni Mellal player told Al Mountakhab.
The player Salhi of Raja de Béni Mellal, confined and taking about ten pills a day, is more concerned when he does not see his condition improve alongside his teammates whose recovery he notes with satisfaction. Yet they are subject to the same medication protocol.
He even feels abandoned: "The club doctor is my only counselor, while at the beginning a delegation from the Ministry of Health came to prescribe the medications to take. Subsequently, no one visited us," he laments.
"The health of the players is more important than football and the Botola. Virus infection is a nightmare for players and their families. I thank God I didn’t come into contact with my father and learned of my infection at the right time," concludes Yassine Salhi.
