Moroccan Football President Faces Ethics Probe Over Match-Fixing Allegations

For having acknowledged the fixing of a match in a video broadcast on the web, Noureddine El Baidi, president of Youssoufia de Berrechid (CAYB), was summoned by the Ethics Commission of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).
It all started with the match that pitted last Friday in Berrechid, AS FAR of Rabat and CAYB (1-0). Thanks to this victory, the military have climbed to third place in the general classification of Botola Pro D1 Inwi with 37 points, while the defeat of CAYB has relegated it to 14th place with 22 points, tied with Mouloudia d’Oujda, the first relegated, who has one game less.
The defeat was not to the liking of Noureddine El Baidi, who in a video that went viral, rushed towards the AS FAR player, Abdelilah Amimi, reminding him of the match he would have fixed so that his team could win. Serious statements coming from a club president. And this is what justifies his summons by the Ethics Commission of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.
The hearing will be held on Thursday, May 26. The FRMF has also summoned the presidents of Kawkab de Marrakech, Chabab Atlas Khénifra, Olympique Dcheira and the women’s team of AS Chabab Tarrast.
