Moroccan Football Officials Face Scrutiny in World Cup Ticket Resale Probe

The National Brigade of the Judicial Police (BNPJ) has completed its investigation into the scandal related to the resale of tickets intended for Moroccan supporters during the 2022 Qatar World Cup. Many heads are expected to roll according to certain sources.
The president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) should announce the results of the investigation opened the day after the World Cup final in the coming days, in order to determine the responsibilities in the scandal related to the entry tickets to the matches of the Atlas Lions during the World Cup in Qatar.
According to the daily Assabah, the BNPJ has filed a damning report implicating political parties and FRMF officials. The results of this investigation could be published before the holding of the friendly matches which will take place respectively on March 25 and 28, in Tangier and Madrid.
Thus, the board of directors of the federation should be convened for an emergency meeting to look into this affair which tarnishes the credibility of the FRMF. It is a vast fraud of which Moroccan supporters have been victims. Determined to support the national team, some had to pay the entry tickets to the matches at triple and even more than their initial price.
The names of the people involved in this scandal should have been revealed for a few weeks, but according to Assabah, Fouzi Lekjaâ would be under pressure from political parties who do not want their names to be mixed up in such a scandal.
