Moroccan Football Legend Badou Zaki Joins National Federation, Exits Club Role

Coach Badou Zaki has parted ways with Difaa d’El Jadida, after replacing Frenchman Hubert Velud on February 10th last. He is leaving DHJ to put his experience at the service of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).
It’s now ancient history between Badou Zaki and DHJ. The information was confirmed on Monday by the governing body of Difaa Hassani El Jadidi. According to the officials, his departure was amicably negotiated.
With a successful season at the head of the technical staff of the club, the national technical management of DHJ expressed its desire to benefit from the services of the former goalkeeper of the Atlas Lions.
After his international career, Zaki, 60, has coached several clubs, including Wydad, FUS, KACM, IRT, MAS and OCS before taking over the technical management of his 12th club, Difaâ d’El Jadida.
At the head of the technical staff of this club, Zaki positioned it in 5th place in the Botola standings, with 15 points. In addition, DHJ also reached the semi-finals of the Throne Cup. The now former DHJ coach also led the national team to the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations final, which they lost 2-1 to Tunisia.
