Moroccan Football Federation Unveils New Regulations for Player Agents

After the freezing of the activities of intermediaries on May 24, 2019, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) is starting over on new bases with sports agents.
The new regulation of the Federation is based on the provisions of Law No. 30.09 on physical education and sports and on the FIFA regulations relating to collaboration with intermediaries, announced a press release from the FRMF. This regulation includes a procedure setting the terms of the annual interview that intermediaries must undergo to obtain the Federation’s approval, the statement said.
Similarly, the said regulation has specified the granting of a duly registered license with the Federation, with the support of the creation of a computerized database, to better manage the contracts of the intermediaries.
In the same logic, a control is also planned to monitor the transfer of minor players. To this end, the FRMF declares inadmissible any referral to the Central Disciplinary Commission and/or the Dispute Resolution Chamber, for any dispute relating to a contract not declared to the Federation, at the date of recruitment or transfer of the player. In addition, the Federation intends to monitor the transfers of players in D1 and D2.
