Moroccan Football Federation Mandates COVID Vaccine Pass for Players 18 and Older

The number of Botola D1 clubs will not be 18 and the vaccine pass is mandatory for players over 18. These are among the decisions taken by the executive committee of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) which met on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Mohammed VI Complex in Maâmora.
During this session chaired by Fouzi Lekjaa, the president of the FRMF, it was decided that it is necessary for each player aged 18 and over to have the vaccine pass proving that the player has had the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 pending receiving the second dose. This is the condition to have the right to play and this remains valid for all national competitions, indicates the FRMF press release.
The executive committee indicated that the commission composed of Hassan Filali, Aziz Bouderbala, Fathi Jamal, Rachid Taoussi and Khalid Lmghifri, which had the mission of studying the feasibility of a championship with 18 clubs, has submitted its report. It emerges that under articles 56 and 57 of the FRMF competition regulations, the Botola championship system can only be modified at the start of the sports season, after study and approval by the executive committee and a vote of an extraordinary general assembly.
