Moroccan Football Clubs Face Tax Crackdown as Deadline Looms

Botola clubs will now have to pay their taxes or face retaliation from the tax authorities.
At a meeting held this Tuesday, March 3 at its headquarters, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) asked football clubs to pay their taxes. The head of the governing body informed the executive committee of this.
Fouzi Lekjaa has demanded that the clubs comply with the specifications set by the transformation of clubs (D1 and D2) into Sports Public Limited Companies (SAS).
Henceforth, the clubs are required to comply with this requirement (transformation into SAS) before March 30 next. The FRMF said it is ready to support them in this endeavor.
Furthermore, the clubs must pay their royalties to the tax authorities, no later than July 30, on pain of facing heavy sanctions.
