Moroccan Football Chief Attends Funeral of Player’s Father in Al Hoceima

The remains of Mustapha Ihattaren, father of the Moroccan-Dutch international, arrived in Morocco on Thursday, October 10, nearly a week after his death. As announced, the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Faouzi Lekjaâ, went to northern Morocco in Al Hoceima to attend the funeral of the deceased and support the young player.
The numerous steps taken by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) to repatriate the body of Mohamed Ihattaren’s father have borne fruit.
Once in Morocco, the remains were taken to their final resting place, in the native village of Mustapha Ihattaren, in Al Hoceima.
The President of the FRMF actually attended the funeral, as shown by the images taken on site.
Faouzi Lekjaâ was accompanied on this occasion by Farid Chourak, Governor of the province of Al Hoceima.
Other personalities, and not the least, also made the trip.
A few days ago, the FRMF had sent Noureddine Naybet, Aziz Bouderbala and Tarek Najem, Secretary General of the FRMF, to the Netherlands to support the Ihattaren family and present their condolences on behalf of the Moroccan football family.
