Moroccan Food Giant Dari Couspate to Invest $9.2 Million in New Salé Factory

The Minister of Industry, Trade, Green Economy and Digital, Moulay Hafid Elalamy, and the CEO of Dari Couspate, Hassan Khalil, signed an investment agreement on February 13.
The city of Salé will soon be home to the 3rd factory of the Dari Couspate group. This project, with a total cost of 92 million dirhams, will generate 100 new direct jobs and also allow this Moroccan company to develop its export market share. Its positioning in the domestic market could also be strengthened.
According to the managers of the new factory, this agreement aims to support Dari Couspate’s investment, operating in the pasta and couscous industry. As part of the program contract (2017-2021), signed by the State and the agri-food professionals, it aims to develop and boost the sector, through its various sectors, particularly for export.
The pasta and couscous industry in Morocco has 18 companies that generate a combined turnover of 2 billion dirhams, including 364 million dirhams in exports.
