Moroccan Fans Outraged as Royal Air Maroc Hikes Prices for Africa Cup of Nations Flights

The supporters of the Atlas Lions are unhappy with the national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) because of the high price of plane tickets to go to Côte d’Ivoire to support the Moroccan team, which is participating in the 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN).
The price of the flight to Côte d’Ivoire via Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has exceeded 6,000 dirhams. This has provoked the anger of Moroccan supporters. They condemn this high price which could hinder their desire to go to the country of Didier Drogba to support the Atlas Lions. "RAM, put the national team first, especially the supporters," pleads Moroccan rapper Don Bigg.
Faced with the situation, a group of social media activists has called on Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), to intervene and forge a partnership with RAM for flights to Côte d’Ivoire at reasonable prices. This partnership should allow many Moroccan supporters to fly to the host country of the 2023 CAN.
After conceding the draw, on Sunday, January 12, against the Democratic Republic of Congo (1-1), Morocco will face Zambia (winner of the 2012 edition) in an attempt to qualify for the round of 16. With four points on the board, the Atlas Lions remain leaders of group F.
