Moroccan Exporters Urge Government Action as Spanish Farmers Block Agricultural Shipments to Europe

The Moroccan Association of Exporters (ASMEX) is calling for government intervention regarding the blockade of Moroccan exports to European markets by Spanish farmers, since Tuesday, February 25.
Seized by several exporters, ASMEX and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the Souss Massa region have denounced "these acts perpetrated against Moroccan agricultural goods carriers, in transit to Spain, destined for other European Community countries" in a note.
Consequently, ASMEX and the Chamber of Commerce "call on the Moroccan government to intervene urgently in order to put an end to these acts and take the necessary measures".
