Moroccan Expats Rush to Leave Spain as Coronavirus Cases Surge

The outbreak of the new Coronavirus is spreading rapidly in Spain and catching the authorities off guard. Infectious outbreaks have developed in all corners of the country.
This situation, exacerbated by news of a possible lockdown of the capital Madrid, would likely have prompted Moroccan families to seriously consider returning to the motherland.
According to Hibapress, some families would have already taken the road back, for fear of seeing entire cities placed under quarantine. The fourth largest infection center in Europe, the authorities may at any moment cordon off the country.
In the space of 48 hours, the number of infected people has more than doubled. Drastic measures have accompanied this sudden rise in infectious outbreaks, starting with teleworking and shift work in companies.
