Moroccan Entrepreneur Salwa Akhannouch Named in Forbes' Top 10 MENA Businesswomen

Forbes magazine has revealed its new female leaders, including the Moroccan businesswoman Salwa Akhannouch. She found herself in the top 10 of women entrepreneurs in the Mena region, creators of brands.

According to Forbes, this ranking reveals the creators of brands and startups in this region, particularly those who have managed to gain the trust of investors and consumers at the local and regional levels. It also honors the women who have succeeded in transforming their companies into sustainable and profitable entities.

Among the criteria defined by Forbes are the number of celebrities who have supported the brand, the number of followers on social networks, the turnover and growth rate as well as the number of countries covered by the brand.

For having met these different criteria, the founder of Yan&One finds herself in 6th place in the "Forbes: Women behind Middle Eastern brands" ranking.

The Iraqi Huda Qattan, known as "Huda Beauty", occupies the first place in this ranking. She is followed by the Lebanese fashion designer Reem Acra (2nd place). As for the Palestinian jewelry designer Dima Rashid, she is in 4th place. As for the Lebanese shoe designer Andrea Wazen, she is ranked 9th.
