Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women List Lacks Moroccan Representation

No Moroccan woman is featured in the latest Forbes magazine ranking of the world’s most powerful women in 2020.
This 17th edition "recognizes the pioneers who skillfully lead countries, voters and communities through one of the most tumultuous periods in modern history," the magazine said in a statement.
"The list of the 100 most influential women in the world highlights the women leaders, entrepreneurs and CEOs who leverage their power and resources to have a lasting impact on the world," the same source specifies.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel tops the top 3 for the tenth consecutive year and the fourteenth time since the creation of this 100% female ranking, followed by Frenchwoman Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, and Kamala Harris, who became the first woman, the first African-American and the first Asian-American to be elected Vice President of the United States.
"Across the levers of power, the leaders on this year’s list of the 100 most powerful women in the world are standing up to tackle the unprecedented challenges of 2020," said Moira Forbes, executive vice president of Forbes and editor of Forbes Women. Thus, Jacinda Ardern (32nd), the Prime Minister of New Zealand, and the President of Taiwan, Tsai Ing-wen (37th), have stood out through the fight against coronavirus in their respective countries.
